Fruit Bath Session

I was so excited to finally do this fruit bath session with Emma. I’d never tried a fruit bath session before. And I hear you asking -what exactly is a fruit bath session? Simply put… it’s a fun reason to stick a sweet little angel in a bucket filled with warm water and floating strawberries and take copious pictures of her enjoying the water.

Water Baby

With it being the early days of spring, the weather can still be a bit unpredictable. So we made sure that the water was warm so that Emma wouldn’t mind sitting in it for a reasonable amount of time. She adores the water and couldn’t contain herself when she saw her mom bringing the hot water for her to splash around in.

Once the bucket was filled and the strawberries were floating, it was time to add the star of the afternoon. But taking one look at this bucket filled with strawberries, Emma refused to get in because she couldn’t see the water!! hahaha.

In her Element

Backtracking, I scooped out the strawberries and let her get in the bucket while she could still see the water. Once she was happy she was in water, the strawberries were poured back in and we tried again. This time, sweet little Emma was so excited to investigate the strawberries and splash in the water.

I had been so excited to do this shoot and I am so thrilled with the end results!! Emma was the cutest little cherub to capture and I could’ve continued shooting all afternoon. But all good things must come to an end… even water babies get tired of the water at some point! :p
