Lynwood Country Club Historic House Ceremony Venue. Jacqueline and Rowen's wedding

There’s a certain magic in high school sweethearts finding their way to the alter, and Jacqueline and Rowen’s wedding was a testament to the power of young love that grows stronger with time. Their love story began when Rowen, the charming newcomer from New Zealand, took a seat next to Jacqueline on his first day of school more than eight years ago. Little did they know that this chance encounter would be the start of a beautiful journey together.

As Jacqueline made her way down the aisle, escorted by her loving parents, Rowen couldn’t help but be moved to tears as he saw his radiant bride for the first time. It was a moment of pure emotion, and a testament to the depth of their connection. The tears that glistened in Rowen’s eyes were the first of many heartfelt moments that filled the day.

Their garden ceremony was set against the backdrop of the magnificent historic house, nestled within the Lynwood Country Club‘s sprawling grounds. And as the sun cast a warm glow upon the lawn, the sky was filled with graceful swallows, their presence a fitting symbol of the everlasting commitment Jacqueline and Rowen were about to make. These lovely birds had made their nests in the eaves of the house, and their constant fluttering above added a touch of whimsy to the day.

Touching Moments

One of the most touching parts of their ceremony had to be the ring warming ritual. The couple’s wedding rings were passed through the hands of their immediate family members, each one taking a moment to bless the rings before passing them along. It was a beautiful symbol of the love and support that surrounded Jacqueline and Rowen on their special day, a reminder that their journey was shared by those closest to them.

Once they were pronounced husband and wife, their fathers stepped forward to deliver heartfelt speeches. Rowen’s dad couldn’t hide his tears, giving everyone a glimpse into where Rowen got his soft side. The speeches were a testament to the love and pride that their families had for them, and it was clear that Jacqueline and Rowen were surrounded by an abundance of love.

Following the moving ceremony, the couple and their guests transitioned to a relaxed canapé reception on the club’s stunning outdoor deck, offering panoramic views of the golf course. Laughter filled the air as guests mingled, shared stories, and chatted to the newlyweds. It was a joyful celebration, marked by genuine moments of connection and happiness.

As the photographer for their special day, I felt like part of the family from the moment I arrived. Jacqueline and Rowen’s warmth and genuine love for each other radiated throughout the day, and it was an honour to be part of such a beautiful occasion. Their wedding was a true reflection of their relaxed, joy-filled love story, filled with laughter, tears, and an abundance of love.
