Hey there, friends! I had an amazing time this past Sunday capturing Brianna and Dalton’s engagement session at the beautiful Enniskillen Orchard in the Blue Mountains. This shoot was extra special because Bri is the sister of Britt, one of my past brides and a good friend. It’s a real privilege when family members of past couples book me—it’s like coming full circle, and I love it!
Brianna and Dalton: Electric Connection
Bri and Dalton were incredible. Their connection was so strong, it was electric! From the moment we met at the orchard, they were ready to have a blast. Seriously, they brought all the energy, and I could barely keep my camera steady because I was laughing so much.
A Walk Through the Mandarin Trees
We strolled through the mandarin trees as the sun cast a perfect golden glow, and everything just clicked—literally and figuratively. Bri and Dalton were naturals, striking poses and sharing sweet moments that melted my heart. We even had a curious little photo-bomber—a deer that seemed pretty interested in what we were doing.😆
A Lot of Laughs and Some Lessons Learned
I always give my couples different prompts and poses to bring some movement and variety into our sessions. So when we tried a little dancing among the trees, we quickly realised, through a LOT of laughing, that maybe dancing wasn’t the best way to get those soft, romantic portraits. Belly laughs? Absolutely! Gentle, dreamy smiles? Not so much. Bri laughed so hard she almost doubled over. 😆 It’s moments like these that make engagement sessions unforgettable. Honestly, the whole shoot felt like hanging out with friends—which, in a way, it was!
A Stunning Venue for Their Big Day
Enniskillen Orchard in the Blue Mountains was the perfect backdrop for Bri and Dalton’s engagement session, especially since it’s going to be the venue for their wedding in June. Set on a hill overlooking a lovely little lake filled with waterlilies, the scenery is breathtaking. The autumn light added a touch of romance to every shot, making it easy to see why they chose this spot for their big day. By the end of our session, we had so many incredible photos—and even better memories. I can’t wait to be back here for their wedding!
