Where do I even begin to express how special it was to capture Brianna and Dalton’s beautiful Blue Mountains wedding? I had the privilege of meeting this amazing couple a little more than two years ago when I photographed my very good friend Britt’s wedding, who happens to be Brianna’s sister. So, saying it felt like arriving at a family wedding is an understatement and I was beyond excited to be a part of another special day for their family!

Bri and Dalton tied the knot on a crisp afternoon in late June at the stunning Enniskillen Orchard in the Blue Mountains. Sydney’s winter rains threatened to make an appearance (after raining almost non-stop all of Friday night), the weather held up long enough for us to enjoy a mostly dry afternoon with only a few sprinkles here and there. The setting was magical, and you could just feel the love in the air. It was a day overflowing with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

It really was a family affair from beginning to end. Filled with personal touches that made the day even more special. The family worked together to decorate the venue, infusing it with warmth and charm that reflected their family’s love and creativity. Bri made the beautiful bouquets herself, and Britt created the stunning invitations and personalised glassware for the bridal party.

Magical ceremony in the Orchard

The ceremony was held under the vine-covered arches in the orchard, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, including their beloved fur-babies – Frankie and Poppy – who made a special guest appearance. In true Bri and Dalton fashion, they surprised everyone with their signature handshake BEFORE sealing their union with the kiss! It was such a fun and spontaneous touch that had everyone laughing and cheering because it was so perfectly them!

So much laughing

During their engagement shoot a few months ago, I got a taste of just how playful and full of fun they are. These two are always up for a laugh and never take themselves too seriously! Their wedding day was no different. Our portrait time was filled laughter and a sneaky drink or two and they absolutely crushed it in front of the camera, making my job so easy. We didn’t get any photobombing deer this time, but the orchard provided a stunning backdrop, and it is clear to see just how much these two adore each other.

A fun, relaxed reception

The reception was wonderfully relaxed with heartfelt speeches, a delicious buffet-style dinner, and plenty of dancing. The atmosphere was so warm and joyful, reflecting Brianna and Dalton’s personalities perfectly. Every detail, from the décor to the music, was a testament to their love story.
