Lee and Mark’s engagement session at Wiseman’s Retreat was filled with joyful confidence, easy laughter, and the kind of connection that feels like friendship from the very first moment.
A morning with friends
From our very first phone call, chatting with Lee felt like talking to an old friend. We just clicked. And when we finally met in person (after a few rescheduling hiccups 😂), it was exactly the same — familiar, relaxed, and full of the kind of laughter that makes you forget you’re standing in front of a camera. The whole morning flowed so naturally that it barely felt like “posing”; it felt like spending time with people I’d known for years.
The sky was overcast, the rain kept teasing us on and off, and yet these two never stopped laughing. They have that easy, playful kind of love — the kind that turns a drizzly spring morning into something warm, bright, and beautiful.
And Fox makes three
And then there was Fox — their adorable four-year-old grandson — who completely stole the show in the best way. Lee had mentioned the day before that Fox, would be joining us for a few photos — and he slipped right into the session like he’d been part of the plan all along. I called him over to help me make his Nanny and Poppy laugh, and he took his job very seriously. Keeping him involved made everything feel fun and unhurried. Watching the three of them interact so effortlessly was one of my favourite parts of the morning. Those unscripted, joy-filled moments added such sweetness and made the session feel even more natural and comfortable.
As Lee and Mark prepare for their March 2026 wedding at this same beautiful venue, their engagement photos reflect exactly who they are: relaxed, grateful, and beautifully themselves. It’s always such a gift to capture love that feels this genuine — full of laughter, family, and a whole lot of heart. I left this session smiling (and maybe a little damp!) but so thankful for mornings like this one.
Here’s a little glimpse into their joy-filled morning — the laughter, the ease, and the warmth that made every image feel effortless. And if you’re dreaming of a session that feels relaxed, joy-filled, and a little like spending time with an old friend… you belong here. I’d love to create that experience for you too.
