Mary and Sunny’s intimate Little Bay Wedding

There’s something so calming about a weekday wedding. The timeline and venues can be exactly the same as a Saturday wedding, but somehow they feel far less rushed. Perhaps it’s the fact that most everyone else is at work and the roads and beaches are quieter? Or maybe it’s a mindset shift? Whatever the reason, Mary and Sunny’s Friday wedding in Little Bay, NSW, was just that – calm, intimate and filled with love.

Their traditional catholic ceremony took place in the War Memorial Chapel on the cliff overlooking Little Bay, followed by an informal cake cutting at the local café next door. Guests celebrated with the happy couple and enjoyed an array of delicious snacks to commemorate this truly special day.  Mary and Sunny’s intimate wedding, filled with close family and friends, was a beautiful testament to their special relationship and their love for their families.

New Friends

I had the wonderful opportunity of shooting this wedding with Natassa, Owner and photographer at Illuminare Photography and fellow KJ Education student. Natassa and I met online through our joint enrolment in one of Katelyn James’ amazing courses before I moved to Australia. It took us more than a year, but we eventually managed to meet up in person and we hit it off immediately.

Our shared loved of KJ and her style of photography meant we were fast friends and after meeting just once, we felt like we’d known each other for years. Both having been solely single shooters in the past, collaborating on this wedding together was new for both of us and we LOVED every minute of it!
