After a week of differing weather and multiple location scouting days – due to said differing weather – Saturday rolled around with a mixture of both the sun and the thick rain clouds that had plagued the entire week. With the weather app predicting rain throughout the day, it seemed our shoot might end before it even started. But lo and behold, the weather app was wrong (yay!! :D) and by the time Saturday afternoon rolled around, the weather was playing nice and we managed to make it out to the streets of Bella Vista to capture some fun, gorgeous pics of Rob and Tracey and their 3 gorgeous bundles of energy.

Being the photographer and not the parents (because I could bribe the little cuties with sweets and not have to worry about the resulting sugar rush…sorry Trace!! :p ) gave me a distinct advantage and before we even began, I promised my 3 littlest clients that I would shower them with lollies and a trip to the park when we were done IF they did the boring smiling thing first. 😀 Needless to say I had 3 very willing little people….for the most part anyway! hahaha. But I was true to my word and by the time we’d hit the 3rd spot I’d picked out the little cuties had decided they had had enough and staged a coup…..and being the understanding adults that we are – we gave in! hahaha. The kids got their lollies and their chance to play in the park. Mom and dad even got in on the action.

Who said playing on the equipment was only for the kids??

You did such a beautiful job with these Mandy!! I love your composition. I have learned to always keep a bag of gummy bears/candy in my bag and it usually works like magic (I ask the parents first!)!

Thanks so much Sarah!! And I’m with you on the sweets…bribery is a wonderful thing for kids and pictures…hahaha. And mom and dad are usually more than willing for the kids to get the sweets if it means the shoot goes off without a hitch! 🙂 :p

I bring Smarties (candy…not sure if they have these there??) and stickers to every family session with littles for the same reason! It’s amazing what kids will sit through for a treat hahaha. These are lovely, Mandy! I especially love the ones of mom and dad playing at the park! hahaha
