There was much excitement and a real buzz in the air on Thursday afternoon when I arrived at Dani’s house to capture her pictures for her year 10 formal. Being new to Aus, it was strange for me that there are year 10 formals, but then I was reminded that school works differently here and kids can leave school at the end of year 10 to attend TAFE or enter a trade…hence the reason for a year 10 formal! 🙂 (Because secretly I know that you were wondering the same thing too….if you’re like me and not completely up to speed with how Aussie high schools work.;) )

So back to Thursday!! I’m not too sure who was more excited – Dani or Nadine. It’s days like this when I think it would be so fun to have a daughter…to help her choose her outfit, organise to have her nails, hair and make up done. Who doesn’t like a bit of bling and fun thrown in amongst the usual day-to-day routine that is school?! 😀

Dani and her friends were super excited and not even the rain that came down as they arrived at Ethan’s house for a little pre-formal get together could dampen their spirits.
