Photographers can be difficult subjects to photograph, as we’re so picky about photographs of ourselves. Well most people are, but I think photog’s are possibly even more so!! But this past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to capture the amazing Illuminare Photography under the trees and on the beach of Darook Park in Cronulla, just south of the city.
When you meet a photographer that shares your love of light and airy pictures and is a fellow Katelyn James student, it’s basically a given that you’re meant to be fast friends! Since our first conversation and subsequent shoots together, it’s like we’ve known each other for years!! Which made the thought of being in front of the camera a little less daunting. When having pictures taken feeling comfortable with your photographer is half the battle won. So we were off to a good start.
After scouting out our location options (and talking more than anything else…;P hahaha ) Saturday afternoon saw us chasing the light, finding the glow and laughing ….at ourselves…A LOT!!
Our end goal was to get individual headshots that we could use on all our digital platforms. And I think we succeeded. I’ll be sharing my headshots soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy a few of my favourites from Saturday afternoon.
Don’t underestimate the impact of professional images that portray who you are to the world. In this digital age, your online presence is often the first interaction that your potential clients have with you. Make sure that initial contact shows the real, professional you that you want your clients to connect with.
