Pont De Val is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding. Set on the banks of the Vaal River, Pont De Val a french provençal themed estate, is an absolute dream with it’s red brick squared arches and earthy tones.  The newly planted vineyards, Bev and Werner celebrated their special day with family and friends on a beautiful Sunday morning. The intimate ceremony was held in the Estate’s wine cellar Le Caveau, followed by a reception in the Laurentin hall.

Pont De Val – French Style

The Laurentin’s countryside style is complemented by an outdoor lawn area with a spectacular view of the river. With a wall of stacking doors opened to the view, we could’ve easily been in a French riverside town. The whitewashed beams, twinkle lights and wine barrel tables all added to the ambience of this spectacular wedding day. 

Beautiful Couple

I have known Bev since our boys started school and we did karate together until Bev moved out of the area. So I was beyond excited when she called me to let me know that her and Werner were getting married. And that they wanted me to capture their special day. Werner and Bev both work in the airline industry. Working out of country for weeks at a time means that when Werner is home, he and Bev spend all their free time together.

It’s such an honour for me to be considered to take people’s wedding pictures. Even more so when it is friends and family. I don’t take it lightly and I cherish the time I get to spend with my brides and grooms. And Bev and Werner’s wedding was no different. Werner adores Bev and the feelings are clearly mutual. These two are so obviously in love and they only have eyes for each other. I could’ve taken pics of them all day and the amount of portraits in this blog post is testament to that!!
