As new parents one of the greatest challenges and biggest decisions you have to make once you have kids is deciding on where you will send your little ones to school. It comes with hours and hours of research, months of sleepless nights and endless questions as to whether or not the school you’ve chosen is the right one. The next 12 years loom ahead like an endless road that has no end. School seems like the biggest hurdle and one that isn’t going to be easy to navigate or quick to end and yet as I type this post those years have passed by in a blink for Colette and Wayne as they prepare once again to say goodbye to the school journey for Jordan – their youngest son- getting ready to spread his wings in the great big world …after he finishes finals of course.
Having travelled this road last year with their oldest son, Matthew, they are well versed in the stress and pressure that grade 12 brings and yet I can almost guarantee that it was a totally different journey altogether. I don’t think there is anything that can quite prepare you for this final year of school as every child is different and with that brings different pressures. But mixed amongst the pressures are also all the fun and exciting things that year 12 brings with it – namely the Matric Farewell and I had the great privilege of capturing this special occasion (once again 🙂 ) for Colette and it was just as awesome the 2nd time around. Amazing snacks, beautiful girls and suave young men where the order of the day as Jordan and his closest mates got ready to celebrate the culmination of 12 years of hard work, dedication and friendship that will stand the test of time.
Colette put out a delectable spread which was an awesome precursor to the evenings festivities!!
