This past week was a flurry of activity in the Provan household. We had birthdays, High School formals and birthday parties to name a few things. Add to that the fact that we were still looking for said Formal clothes on Monday – a mere 3 days before the formal….and you have an idea of how the week went!! haha. Being a small statured human has its challenges when you’re looking for clothes in the mens department. :p
After the craziness of the clothes shopping, it was so rewarding to see Connor finally dressed up and ready to attend his Year 10 formal on Thursday afternoon. It’s funny how a set of “fancy” clothes can turn your children into grown ups before your eyes. Connor has always been our “casual” child. While he is very fussy about what he wears, he generally only wears shorts, t-shirts and slides. So it was a really big change when we saw him dressed to the “nines” on Thursday for his Year 10 Formal.
In Australia kids are able to leave school at the end of grade 10 to pursue trade related careers. So they have a formal for the kids that aren’t going to be coming back to school in Year 11.
Connor and his buddy Jacob were more than happy to have a few pictures before setting off to the Epping Club for a night of fun and dancing with the rest of their Crestwood class mates.
